as a former ten-year-old and current girl, thanks

Man, one of the big reasons why Spirited Away really grabbed me, was that I felt that Chihiro did most of the same things that I would’ve done if I was her.

On retrospect, certain things are really obvious now.

I just saw this movie for the first time last week. It’s very sweet, and I can really see how a ten-year-old girl might enjoy this (having been one myself ofc)

Also, I’m of the firm belief that fiction has a magic of its own (not even mentioning fiction that’s literally based on certain spiritual practices) so I can also really appreciate this movie from a witch standpoint.
