Moon Phases

Full Moon – Power, enchantment, magic, strength, healing, wishes, joy, celebration, blossom, spirit

Half Moon – Transition, momentum, challenges, adjustment, decomposition, forgiveness, roots, attention

Crescent Moon – Fresh energy,imagination, focus, rest, restoration, reflection, intuition

New Moon – New beginnings, possibility, cleansing, creation, cycle, begin anew, start over, finality, end, death

Blue Moon – Special happenings, wishing, connectio, beauty, love, greatness, feeling


Moons Of the Year

There are many names for the full moons in months. I have named the Blue and New Moons as well for personal use. 

January

  • Full – Wolf Moon – Shadow work, introspection
  • Blue – Cold Moon – Transformation, ending
  • New – Chaste Moon – Cleansing, renewal, change

February

  • Full – Snow Moon – Rewnewal, antiquity
  • Blue – Missing Moon – Death, purification
  • New – Hunger Moon – Healing, forgiveness

February cannot have a blue moon. Instead, it does not have a Full moon, and thus the New Moon in February is the Missing Moon. 

March

  • Full – Worm Moon – Fortune, action
  • Blue – Sap Moon – Now or Never
  • New – Crow Moon – Caution, warning, danger

April

  • Full – Pink Moon – Love, Beauty
  • Blue – Phlox Moon – Kindness, Gentle
  • New – Planter’s Moon – Growth, Prosperity

Harvest Moon – Moon closest to the Autumn equinox. Harvest, Plenty, wealth, prosperity, reaping rewards, successes

Hunter’s Moon – Next moon after Harvest Moon. Danger, yearning, hunger.
