Am I the only one who writes like 80% of my spells literally on the spot?

Usually for larger new spells the idea will be simmering for awhile while the ingredients or tools or whatever sit in a pile on my floor until it seems like time to put to put it all together.* The words are often the last thing to come to me. Sometimes the words change when my spell sort of instructs me of change that need to be made. Sometimes spells are smart like that.

*mostly piles of random twigs and literal garbage.

Oh yes, I’ve done this/am currently doing this.

*side eyes the pile*

That’s a lot of how I work, too. Half on the spot, and half sort of… simmering til it’s ready.
