Made this because of yet another Tumblr fiasco! Im a queer witch trying to find a new home that offers the same quirkyness as tumblr. But without the problems :)
A few years ago I was at a museum that had some old grimoires and alchemy books on display and translations to the pages posted by them. My favorite grimoire page was a spell for rain where the person would go outside with a bucket of water and pour it onto the ground, then proceed to pretty much yell at the clouds about ‘see its not hard!’. To date that is my favorite rain spell I have ever seen.

The full moon is July 9th and known as the Buck moon because this is when buck deer start growing velvety hair-covered antlers.
Elm is the symbolic tree. Lavender, feverfew, mint, marjoram, jasmine, honeysuckle, crane’s bill, and meadow sweet are the herbs and flowers.
Colors associate are deep violet, dark blue, and green.

Decorate your home and altar with beautiful stalks of lavender, honeysuckle, jasmine, or mint. Light beeswax candles to honor the honey bees!
Eat seasonal foods outside. Have a picnic, leave some food behind(that’s safe for animals) as an offering to the earth.
Don something new with you magic! Work with different elements, spell ingredients, or cook a new recipe. Explore your path and yourself.
Do a spell for the prosperity of other countries, send healing and blessings out to the world. Alternatively, do a spell for the LGBTQA+ and POC lives in the US to help them through this troubling time. Or curse Trump.
Spend time outside barefoot on the earth. Make a map of what’s around you and what they can be used for magically. Learn more about your town and it’s history!

Dreams: Do an interpretation of your most recent dream.
This will be kinda hard, because my dreams never really make sense haha. But let’s give it the old college try.
The most recent dream I can remember was sort of two separate dreams. Both involved my dad, though. The first was some kind of apocalypse (which has been a common theme in a lot of my dreams recently). I lived in another house in my current neighborhood, except the house looked like a three story ballet studio? My father was there as well as a little girl, and all I remember is that we shouldn’t go outside, but if we did, we had to run as fast as possible to another building, lest the unknown entity that caused the apocalypse get us.
My interpretation: I’ve recently started shadow work, and I think the thing everyone in my dream is hiding from is my shadow? The ballet studio just means I need to approach the situation with grace and patience. And perhaps I need to channel the positive attributes of my father or masculine energies or something?
My second dream was just me, my mother, and my father sitting on my living room floor. Someone kept calling the house phone and my dad kept answering. The person on the other end was some kind bat man villain threatening to kill us, and my mom and dad would laugh, as if it was a particularly odd telemarketer. My dad would sing Christmas songs back, like he was “pranking” the caller. Then he’d hang up. The bat man villain would call back and it’d just continue on in a cycle.
My interpretation: Honestly, I got no fucking clue.
Right now, I’m not really satisfied with my altar, but until I move out (years from now, since I’ll be staying at home for college) I won’t get it exactly how I want it.
Nevertheless, right now it’s got all my magical journals squared away in a corner. I’ve got two nice agate tea light holders that were Christmas gifts, and two pillar candle holders that were a lucky find at Goodwill. I’ve got a little tin box that has my crystals, and a tiny wooden stand with the tree of life on it that was a birthday gift. On the tree of life stand, as well as a glass bowl next to it, I keep my favorite crystals or little knick knacks I can’t put anywhere else. In the very front, I keep my two tarot decks and my main pendulum. In the other corner, I keep my scrying mirror, my prosperity jar, and a huge feather. Oh, and I should mention that this whole thing is on my desk’s shelf.

PPS. I’d take a picture but I’m leaving for vacation today so my laptop is packed up. 😥 I’ll be mostly using tumblr mobile for the next week.
