AFull Title: Organizations You Can Volunteer At Rather Than Send Anons to Someone for Reblogging From a Bad OP For Saying an “Only On Tumblr” Unpopular Opinion

Hello! It has come to my attention that many of my followers lack the real life experience and communication abilities to actually have an impact on the world, preferring to send useless anons so they can give themselves self-congratulatory asspats for “””doing the right thing”””. To solve this, I have come up with a list of non-profit organizations that you may volunteer at that can help give you real-world experience as to how social problems are actually changed! Volunteering can teach you amazing real-world skills that tumblr definitely cannot 🙂

General International

Out Right

ILGA: International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association

USA

Planned Parenthood

Gay Center

LGBT National Health Center

Human Rights Campaign

Canada

Egale

Rainbow Railroad

The Youth Project

Mexico

FUNDACIÓN ARCOÍRIS

Pride Connection (También en Chile, Perú, Panamá, y Colombia)

If you’re having difficulty finding an LGBT non-profit organization to support, usually local libraries have connections to other non-profits in the area. Local libraries are also typically very liberal and welcoming so going in person should be safe, but if you are still iffy then usually the circulation desk has a specific number to call them.

I think if everyone got real world experience in solving social problems, tumblr would be a much better place 🙂

@beginningwitchyshit 🌿

@beginningwitchyshit How’s the quality? Good dried herbs should retain their colour and scent. Any info on where they’re sourced?

I am still waiting for a reply via E-mail

But as far as quality goes the reviews are really great and i havent had them all that long but I can say opening my box is PUNGENT and hasnt gotten any less than in the month I’ve had them!! And I’ve just kept them in their bags in a wooden box.

Wax Seal Charms

From simple love spells to glamours and hexes, wax seal charms are a powerful and versatile tool for any witch’s arsenal. Small, inconspicuous, and easy to hide, these simple charms are useful for nearly any type of magick.

First, you will need a smooth work surface (I used the bottom of a ceramic bowl). Fold a small envelope from a square of paper. You want the envelope to be the same size as or smaller than the wax seal to ensure complete wax coverage.

Next, write your intent (or draw a sigil) on the inside of the envelope. Keep it simple or write very small.

You can add a small pinch of herbs (or a taglock) if you like, but try not to use too much or the charm won’t flatten and may not seal correctly.

Once you’ve added your herbs, fold the envelope shut. You may need to squish it a little to keep it closed.

Pour your wax over the envelope, making sure to cover any open edges, and place your stamp in the molten wax. Apply light pressure for a few moments and then allow to cool.

Once completely cool, remove your stamp and peel the charm off your work surface.

And voila! A small, portable charm that can easily be slipped into a purse or wallet unnoticed.

A lovely way to use my wax seal!!

This was so cool, if I was this involved with my craft I’d want to do this too! Its so cool to see other people’s rituals. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you a million times for sharing your private circle with us! It was an amazingly comforting and centering time and space. And it was awesome to see reflections of my own practices in what you did. I found comfort in seeing you walk thru the steps I usually find myself doing. Sometimes I wonder if I am witchy enough, magical enough, not theatrical enough, but it is centering and helps me and is enough for me. Thank you again. This was a beautiful moment and I missed my sacred space moments that haven’t been coming as often as often used to.

That was fucking amazing holy shit

Thank you for sharing this, so lovely to see! You have a beautiful altar. And i’m glad that i’m not the only one that pulls out 50 reference books while i’m in the middle of it all.

What a priceless privilege it is to witness magic in others practices.

You remind me of someone I know, actually.  And this video is awesome- thank you for doing it!

This was lovely to watch! Thank you so much for sharing. You have a gorgeous set-up, and the entire energy of the space and this video is incredibly comforting.

This was so enchanting to watch!

If anyone in the US needs a cute grimoire, diary, or journal, Walmart has their school supplies on clearance, including the composition books and spirals that say “Create Your Own Magic!” Those in particular were only 50 cents right now (September 15) at my local walmart, and some rather large and beautiful hardcover bound book style journals were marked down to $4. The selection and designs this year were really impressive to me so I thought I would share the info.

Where’s the post about “A witch is never afraid in the woods because she knows that she’s the most dangerous thing?” I got mad about it in the car again last night. You know what we have in the woods?? Fucking coyotes! Of course I’m not the most dangerous thing in the woods compared to a pack of coyotes acclimized to human spaces!! Don’t let witchcraft make you dumb- you’ve still got a physical form and no ward is going to protect you when you’re tossing common sense out the window!

Oh shit good point. I always thought of that post as referring to magical/spirit creatures! But I’m privileged enough to live in an area where animals aren’t acclimated to humans and I’ve never had to worry about them, so I’m glad you’re bringing awareness to that side of things! ✨

To be fair, the quote is from discworld and isn’t meant to be taken literally, but I see it everywhere every now and again around witchblr out of context and each and every time I think about how the coyotes moved in recently and the bears and the ticks and ughhh 😖

Discworld has so many good quotes!!! But it’s always important to remind people of “mundane” dangers 💕
