The Great Bot Purge 2018

purgethebots:

purgethebots:

Tumblr is in an epidemic. The porn bot apocalypse is here. And it’s really, really, really, really, really annoying. Even more annoying than me saying really five times in a row because let’s face it:

  • To check more video, clcik here.
  • Click here to find onenight stands
  • For more more private stuff, come here.
  • Looking for fun? Join me here.
  • Howdy guy, more private stuff here.
  • Howdy bro, my profile here.

Lately the probability of finding a comment like this in the notes has gone up from 100% to a 10000% and it’s seriously impacting our user experience.

I have been here since 2010, @staff. Started out as wolf blog and in 2012 I used to share my poetry and made eight super good friends to which I am still talking today! But now what?

It’s pretty safe to say that there are a number of bot networks active on this website. The one asking for bitcoin and the aforementioned ‘looking for fun’ one for example. The bots follow a pattern and because it’s a network it should be easy to roll up.

I know we always point at @staff to fix this, but honestly, it’s not an easy fix. I know many people block bots, but do we also report and flag them? How does staff respond to flags?

Anyway, here is what I and 10,000 other people who started following this blog over the last 24 hours propose:

We purge the bots. The porn bots. All of them. This is going to be one big COORDINATED effort to destroy the bots!

For one month we are going to report and flag those blogs, and make sure we cut their profits so they don’t make enough money to support their bot network.

It’s very important that we do this as a community. This is a movement. Everyone has to join so we can limit the outcome of this battle to only two possibilities:

  1. We win this battle
  2. @staff really doesn’t give a shit

Let’s go get them! Join the army @purgethebots

I would like to thank everyone for joining our army and turning on post notifications.

Here is how we proceed:

Our first objective is to purge the influx of ‘want to have fun?’ bots in the comments. Tumblr’s ToS allows porn blogs, so we don’t flag bot blogs for ‘sensitive content’, but rather for spam. Because that is exactly what they are doing: spamming the comments with unsafe links to shady websites.

We have two types of warriors in our army. Mobile and desktop users.

Mobile users:
If you are on mobile, your options are limited. You can only report comments.

  1.  Click on notes
  2.  Press or tap a bot comment
  3.  Select “Report”
  4.  Choose “Block"

Your task is to report as many bot comments as possible and make a statement to @support and @staff.

Desktop users:

If you’re on desktop, your mission is to flag porn bot accounts.

  1. Tap on “Notes"
  2. Click on the avatar of the bot blog
  3. Tap the pawn/human icon
report > report spam > Flag & Block

Starting August 1, a new list of ~200 post links divided by zodiac signs will be posted everyday. In order to make things a tad more entertaining, I will give the operations silly or epic titles.

Join us @purgethebots , turn on post notifications so we can coordinate our first attack and prepare yourself for operation:

NATURAL CRAMP TIPS

chirohito:

Foods: Stay away from caffeine (coffee) and sugar (pop/soda, chocolate, sugary snacks) for they create more intense cramps. Avoid cool foods as well (chilled dishes, ice cream *sobs*, etc.) Instead choose a diet of fresh fruit and vegetables. Go low on meat, dairy, and processed foods, and consume more “warming” meals (soup, tea, steamed vegetables).

Stretches and Practices That Help:  Bring your knees to your chin while lying on your back and stay in position before lowering your legs again. Repeat a few times.

Or lie on your knees and bring your forehead down to touch the floor, or however far you can go comfortably. Stretch your arms ahead of you on the floor and breathe, like a feline. Hold for a moment or a minute. Continue as long as needed (look up other stretches in books or online to suit your personal needs).

•   Use a hot water bottle, warm towel, or fill a warm bath to soak in to relax your abdominal and body muscles.
•   Exercise. As much as most of us hate it. It starts off by distracting you from the pain and it increases menstrual flow so your period is over quicker.

image

Turn Into Tea Drinkers: Have lots of it, especially herbal ones with beneficial menstrual effects. Drink the types shown below one to three times a day as needed during the month of and during your cycle (consult a qualified healthcare provider before using just in case of allergic reactions):

  •  Cramp Bark: Relieves any tense muscles, and relaxes excessive contractions of the uterus that also aids with back pain.
  • False Unicorn Root: More commonly used to help with fertility amongst other lavish things, this can be still used to deal with menstrual pain, although, this species is threatened, so please try not to use it!
  • Red Raspberry Leaf: This combats cramps and lightens blood flow.
  • White Dead Nettle: Once again a plant with many uses, such as sore throats and skin inflammations, although it needs to be applied to the direct area if used. Drink the tea for cramps, but other uses mostly require direct plant contact.

Homeopathic Remedies: You can take these in forms of pills; The homeopathic pills aim to trigger the body’s natural system of healing through plant-based medicines, not chemical substances. Once again, consult your physicians before using for dosage levels and body reactions:

  • Magnesium Phosphate: Used for all sorts of cramps, it is said if taken with hot water it improves its action.
  • Apis Mellifica: If you’re allergic to bees do not use this!
  • Maca Root: Cycle changes happen due to hormonal imbalance. This regulates hormones that control the function of the ovaries. They’re available in powder form or capsules.
  • Belladonna: Sackville-Baggins.
  • Blue Cohosh (Caulophyllum Thalictoides): Used commonly in tiny capsules, blue cohosh can also help with labour pains.
  • Chamomile: This plant contains high levels of glycine, which is a chemical that relieves muscle spasms and relaxes nerves. Higher glycine levels relax the uterus, therefore relaxes cramps.
  • Sabina: This lightens the blood flow as well works against vomiting from cramps and sorts of headaches and pain in the temples.
  • Nux Vomica: The seeds are taken from this plant and dried to remove the poison from its seeds. Various herbal preparations are made from these, including tinctures.
  • Chaste Berry: Take this preferably in a 20mg dose once to three times a day. This will help with hopefully cramps and to lighten your blood flow during menstruation.

Essential Oils and Such: These can be used in a warm bath or to rub onto your abdomen with a dilution of vegetable or (preferably) olive oil:

  • Chamomile
  • Lavender
  • Melissa
  • Marjoram
  • Rosemary

And to lighten your flow, rub the mixture below onto your stomach every night during menstruation. I got this nifty recipe from the internet, but have yet to test it:

•    2 tablespoon of a carrier oil (olive oil or sweet almond oil)
•    2 drops of rose attar
•    2 drops of Roman chamomile
•    2 drops of Clary sage
•    4 drops of sweet marjoram

Lastly, if you drink yarrow tincture a week before your period, it acts as a homeostatic that reduces bleeding by contracting tissues or blood vessels. You can buy this premade or make it yourself with the aid of a glass jar and some vodka:

Às̩e̩ And What It Means

Às̩e̩ (pronounced Ah-shay) is a Yoruba word, with many meanings. Às̩e̩ is generally defined as a West African spiritual and philosophical concept, in which we perceive and conceive the power to create change. Sooo basically, às̩e̩ is the African equivalent to the words “magick” or “energy.”

And the idea of às̩e̩ is very much rooted in spiritual energy. Às̩e̩ refers to the soul, or spiritual life force given to all living things and possessed by the Orisha and man alike. Às̩e̩ refers to the actual energy of change, or magic that is worked throughout various traditions and cultures of Africa and the African Disapora.

Às̩e̩ is used in agreement, the way we would say “yes I agree”

Às̩e̩ is used in the same manner “amen” would be used to conclude a prayer.

Às̩e̩ is used in the same way a spell or rite would be concluded with “Let it be so” or “so mote it be”

Às̩e̩ is used to call upon, recognize, and honor our ancestors, as well as the power of the Orisha and the spirit of Africa itself.

So when you see me comment às̩e̩, recognize the power in the word.

Às̩e̩ Ire!

while it is tempting to squeeze witchcraft into every little aspect of your day, know also that you are not expected to reach some quota in order to maintain some status as a witch. it’s alright to go days, even months without doing anything magical.

it’s good to do magic to help you along in every day life. but dont stress yourself out trying to make every action a spell. taking some time to be mundane does not invalidate you as a witch.

me, swirling my middle finger over the pills in my hand: By the power vested in me as the fucking witch in this household, I enchant these pills to fuck off anxiety and depression especially well tonight, so that I’m a functional human being tomorrow. So mote that shit or whatever.
