Hey tumblr I was wondering if you could tell me what these are? I found them on my walk this morning. All I can guess are that they are seed pods from a tree.
I remember them having a tie to witchcraft. Witch’s something? I’m not sure.
They’re called witch burs but are properly sweet gum burs. They can be hung above the bed to avert nightmares “from sitting on you” and over the front door to keep away haints. Cut the stem off and break a piece into it, load it with blessed salt, red brick dust, etc. then seal with wax.
I have them hanging in my ritual space to protect against any ill-willed spirits. I didn’t actually know their name or use in magic but I figured they’d work that way 🤷🏼♂️

Though the witchcraft community may appear open and accepting on the surface, predators also exist within the community who prey on less experienced members. If someone acts like they know more than everyone else, attempts to discredit other magical paths, or purposefully tries to sow discord, it is best to avoid them. If that’s how they act towards strangers, imagine how they must be in a ritual setting. Learn to think for yourself before following anyone who appears to be an expert
THIS THIS this this this all of this!! Important post is important!!! Especially bc recently I’ve been seeing rumors about this happening in the witchblr community. Always be careful when it comes to “mentors” and such. You would not believe the amount of practitioners both young and old and varying in experience getting burned by “spiritual mentors” who either don’t know what they’re actually doing or are using witchcraft and paganism to target victims. People regularly either get scammed or emotional abused by these people. Some will even try to harm you spiritually especially if you have a falling out or question them. I literally witnessed this in a witchcraft FB group where an older “mentor” (a 30 smth Hawaiian woman with no actual ties to Vodou) abuse a younger group member (about 19 and was trying to learn more about hoodoo and vodou) emotionally for months and even tried putting a love/domination spell on them. They were absolutely obsessed with forcing the “mentee” to fall in love with them and obey them.
Don’t think it can’t happen to you. It’s not a joke. There are really sick people out there who will try to use you and abuse you when they cant. Just bc it’s online doesn’t mean they can’t do damage.
Question everything and everyone, it does not matter if they seem more experienced or like they’re stronger or smarter than you. Be careful.

Grab the lightning on May 15th, but don’t keep it inside…unleash it!
Remember Iroh teaching Zuko about lightning bending in Avatar the Last Bender? How you should direct the lightning current through you but not hold onto it unless you wanna get burnt?
Same theoreticals apply on May 15th!
As you get into the state of perception where you expand into your Infinite Self (the part of you which is dreaming tangible reality), remember not to keep that Uranus lightning, but direct it through you. You are a lightning tower, catching Zeus’s bolt, and directing it into the “ground” of your imagination, through the portal of your imagination, and into the vision of the world you truly want to live in.
You could consider this like building an electric pathway. Once the lightning pathway is directed through you and touches ground in the vision of the world you want to manifest, use it.
Use it to bridge the gap between the world (as it is currently) towards the world we individually want to see. Use that created pathway to pull or reel that future in like a fish.
Another thing that was brought up to me was that, in modern astrology, Uranus is considered weak or “in fall” in the sign of Taurus. What I believe that could mean for this mass happening is that any change that occurs after May 15th will be slow, thorough, and deep factoring in that Mars is in Capricorn and Jupiter is still retrograde in Scorpio… It might be akin to a lot of change happening in slow motion.
Like we’re all in some weird time machine. And in even a year, we might all look back on this and say: holy shit everything is different now. So yeah, this won’t be a presto-chango solution. Until suddenly, it fucking is. And you’re living right in it. For those of you who have read my Verse Shifting thesis on how to travel your time lines, same theory applies on May 15th.
But let’s be super real. Magickal results often happen through the path of least resistance so after May 15th, GET OUT THERE IN LIFE! Engage! Put in the footwork! Live that fucking fairy tale even if it’s just appreciating one small beautiful thing every day in the world or daring to in yourself! Even if it’s preparing a piece of bread or microwaved tea and leaving it by your bed to keep going. Even if it’s just believing in giving one more 12 hour segment of the existential horror a chance because you’re curious to see tomorrow!
Maybe change happens in a bunch of small details that don’t seem monumental in the moment…but all connect into a greater whole years later. Let this unified coming together of everyone’s unique rituals and magickal acts combine into the perfect set of circumstances that will lead to a more inspired, fulfilling, and fruitful future.
I believe in May 15th! I believe in magick! And I believe, especially, in awakening the heart of magick all over this world…and inside all who live upon it.
Let’s show the world what dreams can do by daring to believe in ourselves.
