Everyone is able to perfectly memorize one book. Some people choose classics, like The Odyssey, or favorites, like a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, others memorize dictionaries or encyclopedias. You choose something unconventional.
No one is sure exactly how it works. We just know that if something fits the definition of a book by regular standards, and you want to memorize it, you can. But only once. And only if you’re sure.
Many people pick literary classics, some pick their favorite books, fewer still pick something practical, like gardening or car mechanics.
I picked all of it.
Everything.
I worked for years to make a book, one singular book, that had everything I could ever want to learn.
How to be a con artist, surviving alone in the woods, surviving alone on an island, how to fly a plane, engineering basics, quantum physics, how to fix a car, how to build a car, how to build a computer, how to code, herbology, politics, healthy living, gardening, farming, dancing, singing, foreign languages, everything.
Anything one person could possibly learn from any kind of book, pushed together, into a collection of over 800,000 words, just for me. It took me years.
As soon as I had memorized the book, which took several more years to read through, I burned it.
I took what I had learned and started over, leaving everything behind. Leaving no trace of the Book of Everything.
There was one very important thing I learned from reading everything I could ever need to know. No one else needs to know it.
anyway, so a friend of mine wanted the story of the creature @saltwaterwitchery had sent to attack me back in September-October ish. so, I’m going to tell you, because this story is why i have a personal vendetta against this bitch who dares call herself a witch.
ahem, anyway, so this is my early days in Witch Haven. I had entered the server already well aware of the danger I was putting myself in, and aware of what their Linking Sigil could do (it’s a control. though they’ll do everything to convince you otherwise). So, when asked if I had connected to it, I told a half truth and said no, because my Fae companions were outright hissing at it (and they were, believe me, they were actually snarling at it). so that night…my mom messages me after having spent 2 hours fighting this thing off. shes exhausted. she needs help keeping her wards up. the fact she fought for two hours despite being greatly weakened by chemotherapy speaks to her power as a witch, but I digress. as soon as she told me “something has been trying to get in the house, make sure it can’t get into your room”, I knew. I immediately knew. Salt tried to attack me. and because I had both wards and help from my Fae companions, I knew it went after her, someone I’m close to, because it failed to get me. what better way to hurt the intended target than by hurting someone close to them, right? ohhhh, I was mad. livid even. and I called them out on it. though i didn’t name any names, I told them “something from inside this server just attacked my mother, and I want answers.“
I never got any. instead, I got vague answers, and "oh, well, did you try to attack the server?” I said no.Their response? they said “well there’s not much we can do”, meanwhile i’m internally screaming at them. why the FUCK does the server need to attack people?! for not doing something?????? That creature went after my mother. so yeah, I hate Salt. Yeah, I have a fucking vendetta against this Bitch, and mark my words, I will do everything in my power to Take. Her. Down.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh, I can’t believe there are so many of you, thank you all so much for following me, I love and appreciate every single one of you! I’ve been planning this for awhile now, so, finally, here’s a little bit of a thanks for being such beautiful, loyal babes!
