Self Care: Witch Style

  • Put a lavender or rose essential oil in your bath. If you don’t have any, put some lotion of those scents in
  • Place a rose quartz in your bath
  • Bless the water to bring comfort and peace of mind
  • After the bath, put some comforting-scented lotion on you
  • Light some lavender incense
  • Brew some chamomile tea
  • If that’s not available, hot chocolate with milk works!
  • Put some lavender, mint, or chamomile (a tea packet works!) under your pillow
  • While showering, envision all your negative energy going down the drain witch each scrub
  • Cuddle your familiar
  • Meditate on the positives in life
  • Sit down next on the ground (preferably next to a tree) and imagine roots going down into the ground from you. Visualize the negative energy going down the roots and into the roots. Imagine better energy coming from the Earth going up your roots and into you
  • Put a rose quartz and a normal quartz(to amplify the effect) in your pocket!
  • Sit or lie down on a very comfortable place. Breath slowly. Inhale for 7 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, and exhale for 5 second. With each exhale, envision a nasty fog of horrible energy come out of you

no offence but let yourself be ugly!! you don’t have to fix your hair if you’re not going anywhere you don’t have to cover up ur spots or change out of your lounge pants to go buy milk like damn we really gotta let ourselves be comfortable without constantly apologising for just looking normal and it’s hard but i think we need to practice looking in the mirror and saying i look ugly af today and that’s okay!! tru self care is letting urself be ugly tbh

my lil tips for feeling better

tartts:

face:

  • wash your face at least once a day, with a cleanser and a moisturizer that works for your skin (you can add a toner and serum to the routine too)
  • keep a lip balm on you at all times
  • please try to remember to brush your teeth. i know, you’re very sleepy and your bed is very comfortable, but still
  • try out some face masks every once in awhile!

hair:

  • find a shampoo and conditioner that really works for you and makes your hair smell nice
  • try to skip using the heat tools and embrace the natural look, your hair will thank you for it
  • deep conditioner? hair masks? argan oil? go for it
  • for those of you with long hair: keep a hair tie on you at all times

hands:

  • keep a small hand cream in your purse to keep your hands from getting dry after washing them
  • maybe keep a cuticle cream in your purse too? (it really helps me stop picking at my cuticles because this motion is actually a good kind of fidgeting instead of harmful, and it keeps them from drying out in the process)
  • paint your nails a light beige/pink neutral color. it’s subtle but looks so elegant and goes with everything

body:

  • moisturize!!!!! after every shower!!!! whether it be lotion or coconut oil or what, it’s important!! dry skin is uncomfortable and does not make you feel better
  • find a perfume you like and spray it on whenever you need a lil pick-me-up. smelling nice = feeling nice
  • take a multivitamin every! day!
  • and take your medications! don’t forget!
  • try to incorporate eating something kinda healthy every day (maybe just one fruit! that’s all!)

♔ some skin care tips ♔

hyvrle:

  • reapply sun screen every 2 to 3 hours. don’t use anything under 30.
  • korean products usually already have sunscreen in them.
  • use a different exfoliator for your face than you do for your body. your face needs one that’s not as aggressive
  • you might start to break out more upon using a new, good product. this is normal. let the bad stuff be flushed out and keep using it.
  • I know it’s annoying but drink. your. water.
  • don’t use coconut oil on your face, ESPECIALLY not if you’re prone to acne.
  • don’t use glossier products, the ingredients are shit.
  • don’t let the water in the shower hit your face too much, the pressure damages the skin.
  • change your pillow sheet every 3 days (oily skin) to once a week.
  • stop touching your face for god’s sake.
  • don’t forget to treat your neck too!
  • regularly exfoliating your hands will slow down hand aging, too.
  • if something doesn’t work, throw it away or gift it to someone else. don’t keep using it.
  • start using a serum.
  • matcha tea contains waaaaay more antioxidants than your average green tea.
  • honey & salmon are good for your skin. also limit your dairy intake.
  • try to (deep) cleanse your face in the evening.

and don’t forget that lasting good skin takes time and consistency.

This Autumn, let something die.

onewillow:

A worry, a relationship, a project that has run its course. Let go of anxiety over the future. Let go of guilt.

Let go of other people’s dreams for you. Let go of the fear that happiness or success or love or joyousness somehow isn’t for you.

Let go of feeling unwanted. Go outside, can you feel how deeply your presence is craved here?

Let go of the small and burdensome things. Gifts never opened. Keys without a lock. Broken earrings, old love letters, the ephemera on your fridge.

As David Whyte writes, “Anything or anyone that does not bring you alive is too small for you.” This Autumn, let go of all the clothes you have outgrown.

Let go of comparison.

Let go of doubt.

Let go of the feeling that you are somehow not good enough.

Because every imperfect apple that lays soft in your hands, and every ray of low Autumn sunlight that warms you through woolens will tell you a different story, a much truer story. The story that you are more, much more, than enough. That you bless this world simply by being alive.

Y’all this hit me hard

how to feel like an angel during the holidays ::

softest-blush:

• wear vanilla behind your ears and on your wrists

• light candles in the morning and let them burn throughout the day (don’t forget to blow them out if you leave or go to sleep!!)

• let yourself indulge in treats such as candy canes, marshmallows, and gingerbread

• take your time to brush through your hair

• play instrumentals from ballets such as the nutcracker or sleeping beauty

• apply lotion every night before you sleep

• watch the morning sunrise

• wear the softest clothing you have to keep warm

thatdiabolicalfeminist:

basically:

  • it is not a virtue to not set boundaries
  • ignoring your own wants and needs is not a healthy way to show love
  • people worth loving will respect your boundaries
  • people worth loving will not want you to set aside your own wants and needs to make them more comfortable
  • ‘having no boundaries at all’ describes a person who is very hurt, not a person who is very virtuous
  • suffering for others’ comfort is not how you be a good person, it is just how you become very hurt
  • sometimes you need to make others uncomfortable in order to get your needs met
  • your needs are more important than others’ comfort
  • your comfort is equally important to others’ comfort
  • making other people uncomfortable is not, in itself, ethically wrong or morally dubious
