Yo I voted!! can I get a general reading about how this semester is gonna turn out please ^u^

Yay democracy! Ok so, your card. I pulled the two of wands! When it comes to education, this is a pretty good card to get as it predicts deep learning and thinking. Expect, by the end of the semester, to have greatly contemplated not only what you have learned academically, but also the different opinions and perspectives you have heard all around you. Now is the time to open yourself up to intellectual growth!

So this was a really personal project for me, after listening to TAZ i wanted to do something to show my love and appreciation for it, as well as get the chance to say goodbye to all the characters again. Hopefully that comes across (wow this is truly the dorkiest thing I’ve ever done)

Anyway feel free to ask why i picked which character for each Tarot card (trust me i thought way to far into it) and please listen to taz if you haven’t already!

This is my “Grow Like a Vine” Spread

If you’re like me, you want to learn everything and have all skills and try to pursue all things at once. I made this spread to help focus in on just one skill or trait to develop at a time. The idea is that when you have a baby plant, it requires more care and attention to survive and grows very quickly when it is well cared for. Once it’s fairly strong, then it’s time to let it grow at its own steady pace along with all the other things you’re working on and move on to the next until your garden of skills is happily and peacefully growing.

1. What skill/trait should you focus on? This is your seedling.

2. How should you approach this? Do I plant from seed? Do I take a cutting and propagate? Is there a class I can take? Should I make a schedule and work on this for ten minutes a day? Is it a more passive trait that I need to work on through metacognition all day?

3. What do you need to set yourself up for success? Plants need to be set up in the right conditions to thrive. They need to be placed where they get the right amount of sunlight and the right humidity. They need the right soil. What conditions do you need to set for yourself to thrive?

4. What is the outcome/what will this help you reach? I won’t call this the “end result” because your vine should keep growing and reach further and further. What does this skill/trait help you reach if you nurture it?

how the heck do you do yes/no questions with a tarot card i never understood how anyone does that since tarot cards have a lot of meaning to them?

witchiestsuggestions:

If I’m being honest????

I have no fucking clue

I guess??? Some cards have a yes or no meaning, but like?????????

i don’t fuckin know dude?

I typically do it so that right side up means yes, and then an explanation for why it’s yes. Reversed means no and an explanation for why it’s no.

For example, I ask my cards “Will I be able to go to the movie with my friends?” I pull The Empress Reversed. Since it’s reversed, that’s a “no” and the reason why is because the mother figure in my life misses me and I need to spend time with her.

I’ve talked about slumps, dry spells, and disconnects before – this is a more personalized approach to finding a solution. I’d like to update my original post, but until then…here’s the spread I was testing out earlier.

I decided to just go ahead and put the spread out as it is now. I like it and I think it works. But because this is literally my first draft of the spread, any feedback would be even more appreciated than usual!

Card One is where you were before the slump.

Card Two is what caused the slump or allowed it to happen.

Card Three is where you’re at now.

So, before we move on to the next cards, I want to explain this progression. I think it’s important, especially in these situations, to sort of check in on where you’re actually at and where you were before. Comparing the situations and seeing how you got to where you’re at is important, because it helps you understand what happened, and that’s how you make a plan to get out.

Card Four is what keeps you down – this is why you haven’t moved on and why you feel like you’re in the slump to begin with. Think of it as your obstacle – this is what you’re up against.

Card Five is your first step out of the slump. Something I really focus on a lot in these situations is “Well what do I do NEXT? What do I do now??” This is your answer to that question.

Card Six is what I call the signs on the path. It’s what keeps you moving forward and what stops you from sliding back down into the slump.

Card Seven is where you’re headed. One of the keys to pulling yourself out of the slump and continuing onward is knowing what you’re actually working toward. It’s easy to lose your sense of direction down there – this is your North Star.
