Speaking of my complicated relationship with my former faith.

It’s okay to have a complicated relationship with your former faith (or non-faith).

It’s okay to miss having a religious community.

It’s okay to be attached to aspects of your former faith.

It’s okay to want a clean break with your former faith.

It’s okay to feel strong emotions about your former faith (including anger or rage).

It’s also okay to acknowledge that your faith, as an institution, is full of bullshit while recognizing that people find it meaningful and helpful (if applicable).

It’s okay.
