Made this because of yet another Tumblr fiasco! Im a queer witch trying to find a new home that offers the same quirkyness as tumblr. But without the problems :)
Speaking of my complicated relationship with my former faith.
It’s okay to have a complicated relationship with your former faith (or non-faith).
It’s okay to miss having a religious community.
It’s okay to be attached to aspects of your former faith.
It’s okay to want a clean break with your former faith.
It’s okay to feel strong emotions about your former faith (including anger or rage).
It’s also okay to acknowledge that your faith, as an institution, is full of bullshit while recognizing that people find it meaningful and helpful (if applicable).
This matters a lot. The previous fights for net neutrality were won in part with the support of scrappy online companies like Tumblr, whose CEO, staff and users worked together to send a strong message to Congress and the FCC about the importance of a neutral internet, free from ISPs who slow down your connections to services unless they pay bribes for “premium” carriage.
With Trump’s FCC set to slay Net Neutality, the internet is once again planning a day of coordinated action: on July 12, sites across the net will send their users to the FCC and Congress to demand that ISPs be held to a public service standard befitting the trillions of dollars in public subsidies they receive every year in the form of access to rights of way through our cities and between them.
However, Tumblr is not among the companies presently slated to participate, and sources within the company told The Verge that the company and its CEO, David Karp (once a staunch Net Neutrality campaigner) have been given orders to sit this one out.
…hey, so what would happen if literally everyone on this site, just didn’t come onto Tumblr on July 12? Like, what if we all just paused our queues or whatever and put a message at the top of our blog saying that we support net-neutrality, but since Tumblr can’t do another black-out, we’ll do it for them? Any takers?
So I found this singing bowl here in #abudhabi. It was made in India. It was tucked away between some decorative camels, Persian rugs and vintage telephones. I wasn’t exactly ready to add another singing bowl to my collection but listen to this sound. It hits one particular #chakra for me and I want to see if the sound touches the same one for you. So, listening to the sound, where do you feel it? A particular chakra? A part of your body? I’m eager to know. Leave me a comment and I’ll share where I felt it the most.

Can someone explain how you burn an herb?
If something calls for mugwort, how do I burn it? Do I need it to be in oil form?
Let me tell you the best damn way to burn small amounts of herbs for a ritual.
A metal tea strainer just like the one above.
Put just a pinch of herbs inside. Hold the mesh over a candle for several moments. You will be able to see the herbs begin to burn. If you just need a little smoke, they will smoke immediately and go out quickly when removed from the flame.
If you need a lot of smoke, let the herbs turn in to embers (they will not really catch fire). In this form you can carry the tea strainer all around a room to smoke it out, or place it on a fire-safe surface such as a baking dish or pan so it can smolder safely.
Really only use a small amount of dried herbs!
When experimenting with burning herbs, I advise you to open a window. Rooms can get smokey really quickly and it isn’t mystical, it’s uncomfortable. Also try not to set off any smoke alarms.
If you do not have a strainer like this at home, they can be got for just a couple of dollars at any store with a kitchen section.
Making deity shrines in Minecraft and the Sims is really underrated tbh.
I remember a while back it was super popular, but then people came out of the woodwork to shit on it and say shit like, “if you have time to waste on games, you have time to ‘actually’ devote to your gods,” and it was such bullshit.
Taking time to create something is a valid and valuable offering. Doesn’t really matter if it’s virtual.
And, shit, if you want to talk about sacrifice, including a lava pit as part of a Minecraft shrine and sacrificing diamonds? Good-ass offering.
My experience has been whenever someone makes a shrine online or in a game (or in some other intangible way) someone shows up to shit on it because it’s not “real” and “actual shrines require effort” like have they ever tried to build anything in a game like Minecraft it can take a ton of resources and time that someone devotes specifically to their deities, ancestors, or other entities.
Before I begin my list, I want everyone to know it is possible to practice and fine tune all of these abilities. Every person has the ability to open their third eye, aka decalcify the pineal gland, which then can help open up your 6th sense as long as you practice at it.
Aries – Clairvoyant: This type of psychic ability is best suited to Aries, who has to see it to believe it. Feeling things and communication isn’t normally your forte, but when you can physically see something, it is much easier for you to work with. Auror reading falls under this category, almost anything that you can see falls under this category.
Taurus – Psychometrist:Reading information contained in the energy of objects would best be suited to Taurus, who rules over the physical plane and material objects. Not to mention your affinity for material possessions and pretty objects makes you more inclined to be able to sense and read information contained inside of objects. These are the type of psychics that are brought into the evidence room
Gemini – Psychographer:This is the practice where you translate non-physical consciousness through “psychic writing”. This is where you tune out and just write on an unconscious level while tapping into otherworldly energies and just write what ever comes to your hand. And since Gemini rules the house of writing, this would be the more natural ability for you to develop.
Cancer – Clairsensitive:This ability is all about feeling. It is sometimes confused with intuition, which is slightly different on a few levels. Cancers are deeply sensitive and connected to their feelings, so it is only natural that you have the ability to feel surrounding energies and thing on a non-physical conscious plane.
Leo – Precognition:This is the ability to read all the possibilities of the future, and Leos have such a great imagination and desire for a positive future, that you often find yourself imagining what your own future would be like. And this ability can be translated to other people if you learn to use your imagination to sense out what possibilities someone has in their future. Though future readings are never easy and always have different possibilities, because nothing is ever set in stone and human beings have the gift of free will.
Virgo – Psychic Surgeon:There is no one better for this type of job than the ruler of health and service. When you see someone in pain, it is your instinct and natural desire to do anything you need to do to help them. And as a psychic surgeon you can operate intraphysically on non-physical trauma.
Libra – Telepath:This is the ability to read information mind to mind, and as a Libra with wonderful social grace that comes from your ability to connect with people and form partnerships, this seems like the best option for you.
Scorpio – Lucid Dreamer:This is the ability to consciously know that you are dreaming and to access the dream world, Dream Controlis also another step into this world, and what better ability for Scorpio to master than the ability to control your dreams, since you get an odd satisfaction from having power and control.
Sagittarius – Astral Traveler:Sagittarius rules the house of Travel and exploration, and when it comes to astral projection no one is more fearless and eager than you are to leave your physical body and traverse all physical and nonphysical planes.
Capricorn – Retrocognition:The ability to look into past lives is a very sought after gift that many people seek readers out for to explain parts of their personality or fears that are unexplainable. And I think Capricorn would do well with this ability with an affinity for being sought after for advice and a connection to the past.
Aquarius – Psychophoner:This ability allows a nonphysical consciousness to speak through you, and I think this would go well with Aquarius who rules communication on a much larger scale than either Gemini or Libra. Aquarius rules over the tarot card “The Star” because she symbolizes the communication and transferring information from the heavens to the earth.
Pisces – Intuitive:This is an intimate and clear knowledge about a situation, and it is more based off of instinct and immediate reactions and feelings to something. It is the immediate and instinctive part that separates this from clairsensitive, and I think pisces works well with this ability because they are so sensitive and rule over the house of mystics and self undoing.
