I opened up an etsy shop earlier this year, but life had me incredibly busy, and I had almost no time to promote it. So, in honor of my etsy shop, I’m doing this giveaway.
The winner can pick two pendants from my shop! These are the options:
Don’t use salt outside in the garden, parks or forests and woods for casting circles the salt will change the ph of the soil and kill everything use ground up egg shells instead organic and plant and soil friendly.⛥
• There’s lots of free stuff outdoors. Acorns, cool rocks you find, pine cones, seashells, flowers, leaves, etc.
• Put a small jar or glass outside in the rain to collect water for your altar
• Put a small jar or glass of water outside during a full moon to make moon water for your altar
• A small dish of iodized salt for purification, cleansing, and to represent the earth element
• Print out artwork of a deity you honor, or a master you follow, or even just someone you love and respect (Mikao Usui, Amma, your grandma, the goddess Brigid, Jesus, etc)
• You can buy cheap candles at the dollar store. Choose a color and a scent that resonates with the theme of your altar. If it’s a seasonal altar, buy accordingly. If it’s a self-empowering altar, just choose whatever your favorite is. If it’s a healing altar, maybe white or green with a clean, fresh scent would be best. You choose!
• Old tablecloths, curtains, and scarves can be used as an altar covering
• Food items like apples, spices, nuts, candy, etc can be added for seasonal flare (i.e. in the fall, decorate with apples, tiny pumpkins, gourds, hazelnuts, cinnamon sticks, etc)
• Draw symbols, sigils, or runes of your choice on rocks you find, pieces of paper, or wood chips to add to your altar (again, choose symbols based on intent)
• Write down an affirmation, spell, or just a motivational message and tape it above your altar. Alternatively, you can fold it up and read it every time you visit your altar. It can help solidify the intent for your altar and empower you in the process 🙂
