Tarot Tip

Create a Sacred Space or ritual around reading. Even if you don’t go through the whole ritual every time or it feels like overkill, make tarot reading a Thing regularly – go all out with crystals grids, candles, incense, silk cloths. Relish the feeling of pulling your cards from their box or case and the sound of shuffling. It doesn’t have to be every time, but do this often enough that it is familiar.

Later, when you’re feeling off or mundane, this ritual and space can help put you back into a magical mindset!

a list of ideas and activities for discreet witches, based on what is around to do / use in the fall

🍁 leaves

good for cleansing negativity and making wishes. in general this is a good time to get in touch with nature, by raking leaves and gardening

🔭 stargazing

there are often stargazing functions done in the fall, at schools and such, and astronomical events happening too! ex) mars setting in front of the lagoon nebula sept. 28, uranus in opposition oct. 15

🌾 hay/straw

there’s plenty of this around in this season, and it’s good for making a besom/broom, a valuable tool for energy work and banishing bad energies

🎃 pumpkins

there’s an abundance of pumpkins in the fall, for discreet witches that need materials!  used for, banishment, divination, healing, prosperity, and protection, you can use their materials or carve sigils into them. or spices the inside and light the candle inside for discreet spells!

☔ rain

with autumn comes hurricane season, and is an excellent time for rain witchcraft, with activities like collecting storm water, or rain divination

🔥bonfires

good for burning offerings and celebrating pagan holidays, if you wanted to organize one yourself that wouldn’t be unheard of. when it’s colder, fireplaces are a good substitute

🍫 hot chocolate

good for spells involving love, lust, health, prosperity and money, this treat is an easy way to make a pick-me-up potion

☕ coffee

the grounds are good for cleansing and banishing and growth, and by adding a pinch of herbs to it, you’ve got a daily potion on your way to work! (cinnamon is good for love, vanilla for happiness, etc)

👻 spiritual activity

in many cultures, autumn is a time where the veil between earth and spirits weakens, and spirits are more free to walk among us. try a little spirit work if you dare!

🍎 apples

apples represent the heart, are good for love spells and curses. they are also a good container for burying spells in, because they decompose, unlike glass jars.

🍊 oranges

for divination, luck, and cleansing. also good for burying things in, and you can make a candle out of them

🍄mushrooms

mushrooms are often indicators of a fairy ring/realm, however some witches even use them to aid with divination

🌰 chestnuts / acorns

good for love spells / fertility and protection, but also a sign of the oncoming winter. bury a handful to ensure prosperity for the next season

🍬 candy

with halloween coming up, there’s a lot of candy around. though it may not be as mystical as using herbs, your candy bin can have its own correspondences

3 Magic Boosting Mantras

thechamomilewitch:

  1. I forgive others, I forgive myself —

The resentful witch is the witch who’s unconsciously casting negative energy towards others and undermining herself.

  2. I honor my spirit and trust my intuition — Listening to that little voice is a key skill, and one that’s too easy to ignore.

  3. I am whole. I am magic. I am capable of joy and change — Too often, shame holds us back from our magic. If you don’t know that these are feelings that everyone has, and that they’re nonsense, you’ll never have any control over your magic.

Who believes in all deities. Like i think that every deity ever exists. Maybe not all at the same time, and maybe not within the same constrains, but they’ve existed.

I believe that all deities exist, but we chose or are chosen by specific ones. But the others are there, loving and leading their followers. Just kind of like how there are billions of people you’ve never met or heard of, I feel like that’s how Gods work.

I wanna here how you think it works!

I basically believe this. I mean, there may be a few I don’t but I can’t think of them off the top of my head. For all we know the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a thoughtform floating somewhere ‘round the astral. I also think some exist not necessarily as a whole new independent entity but as facets or masks of pre-existing ones.

I believe in this concept as well. (And I LOVE the thought of the Flying Spaghetti Monster being a thoughtform in the astral, lol.)

For me, I believe that all deities have existed in their own time and place, and their impact and power to affect people and the world directly relates to the amount of devotees they have, or people who just believe in them without offering devoteship. Devoteship grants them more energy than belief in my thought system. Deities and religions can be brought back from being “dead” just by the mere matter of people believing in them again in this thought – which explains the “rebirth” of Kemeticism and Heathenry in recent times. Of course, the deities will have different powers and influences now, because the world is not the same as the one they used to have dominance over, but that is not necessarily bad; it just means that they have new parts of the world to experience and discover what they can be associated with in our modern society.

I also like the idea of the gods adapting to modern times like Artemis supporting female street gangs

I am 100% here for the modernization of the Gods tbh. And I am LIVING for Artemis of the Girl Gangs.
